Context

A ‘full-stack’ fintech startup, GuiaBolso combines Brazil’s leading personal finance app with only automated account aggregation, segmented financial product marketplace, and direct lending operation for prime borrowers. Due to this comprehensive offering, GuiaBolso is now largest independent personal finance platform in Brazil with over 3M users.

The Challenge

GuiaBolso’s unfair advantage over its competitors is the automated categorization, but sometimes users need to categorize manually or fix some transactions. The objective of the feature was to provide a shortcut for power users to categorize these transactions faster and one of the challenges was the feature onboarding.

The Prototype

I’ve created an advanced Framer prototype in order to test different onboardings and interactions on users. Check the final version below:

The idea behind the interaction is that it’s possible to change the category without lifting your finger from the screen. I’ve used the motion principles from Material Design guidelines.
